Refund & cancellation policy
Pre-launch draft. Final attorney-reviewed text lands before public launch. This page explains what's refundable, what isn't, and how to cancel.
Subscriptions: 30-day money-back on your first month
If you're not satisfied, you can request a full refund of your first subscription month within 30 days of that first charge. This applies once, to the first paid month only — renewals and subsequent months are not eligible for the money-back guarantee.
To request it, email support@xosign.ai from the address on your account within the 30-day window.
What is non-refundable
- Notary fees — Remote Online Notarization is performed by a third-party notary partner; once a session is booked or completed it can't be refunded.
- USPS postage — physical mail and certified-mail charges are paid through to the carrier and are non-refundable once sent.
- Partially-used credit packs — credit packs are non-refundable once any credit in the pack has been used. Fully-unused packs may be refundable at our discretion within 30 days of purchase.
How to cancel
You can cancel a subscription anytime from Settings → Billing. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep paid access through the end of the current billing period, then drop to the Free tier. Your data stays intact. There is no cancellation fee.
Failed payments: a 10-day grace period
If a renewal charge fails, we don't cut you off immediately. You get a 10-day grace period to update your payment method:
- Day 3 — we email you that the charge failed
- Day 7 — we send an SMS reminder (if we have your number)
- Day 10 — if the payment still hasn't cleared, paid features pause and the account drops to Free
Throughout the grace period and after, your documents and audit trails remain intact — pausing affects access to paid features, not your data.
Annual plans
The 30-day first-charge money-back guarantee also applies to annual plans (refund of the annual charge within 30 days of the first purchase). After 30 days, annual plans are non-refundable for the remainder of the term, but you can cancel to prevent renewal.
