Which AI features you can use is set by your plan (see the table above); your credits pay for all of them.
Every plan comes with monthly credits, and you can buy more. What credits buy: unlocking a document, which reads it and files it, is 1 credit a page; the deeper read behind Summary, Clauses, Risks and Suggest edits is 6 credits a page, once per document; translating is 3 credits a page for each language; The Writer is 6 credits a page, with the deeper read included; comparing proposals is 6 credits a page. Place fields with AI is quoted in credits before it runs.
How credits work
- 50 credits cover 50 pages of unlocking and filing, or 7 pages if each of those pages also gets the deeper read. Unlocking is 1 credit a page. The deeper read is 6 credits more. Together that is 7 credits a page. That spends 49 and leaves 1.
- Unlocking a document makes it smart — XO reads who it's between, the money, the dates and the payment terms, and files it — for 1 credit a page, whatever's on the page.
- The deeper read — Summary, Clauses, Risks, Suggest edits and the editable copy — is 6 credits a page, once per document. Translating is 3 credits a page for each language. Each page is charged once for each step.
- Uploading is free. Credits are spent only when you actually run the AI, and only on a successful run.
- Monthly credits expire at renewal and are used first; credits you buy never expire. Annual plans get their credits each month, not all at once.
- Place fields with AI uses the same credits, quoted before it runs. Credits are 5¢ each without a plan, and less on every paid plan.
