How document verification works

Every completed document can be verified. XOsign records a tamper-evident fingerprint and a trusted timestamp, and anyone can check a document at the verify page.

1-minute read

When a document is completed, XOsign creates a cryptographic fingerprint of it and attaches a trusted timestamp. Together these let anyone confirm, later, that the document hasn't been altered since it was signed.

Checking a document

  1. Go to the verify page.
  2. Provide the document or its fingerprint.
  3. XOsign confirms whether it matches what was signed and when it was timestamped.

This works for anyone who receives the document, not just the signers — it's how a third party confirms a signed document is genuine.
